  • Hardware guy looking for PI designs and reference (help me build a deep

Hi all, I'm a hardware designer of many years, and want your help researching for some new PI detector builds.
I'm looking for anything in the public domain - books, schematics, reference, advice etc
My plan is to build progressively better machines and ultimately build something large and mobile for deep searching - say 1m x 1m initially?

Also, I'm open to making this an open source project and would love to work with collaborators and testers...

    Thanks,
    Mark

Since you posted your question in the "Inside the METAL DETECTOR" thread, I assume that you're aware of this book ->
Inside the METAL DETECTOR - Second Edition - Published 2015

Appendix B contains a list of websites, books, magazine articles and patents that should keep you busy for a long time.
Also, in the Projects section of Geotech there are several open source projects that should be of interest.

Thanks Qiaozhi - I have that book! I'm digesting the great material elsewhere on the site also...
Appreciate any links to other books or external sources - and hope I'm OK with this thread here?
      Thanks!

If you click on the big Geotech Technology for Treasure Hunting logo at the top of the webpage, this will take you to a section containing projects, schematics, patents, etc., and details of some commercial detectors.

you can begin the learning from simplest pi projects - surf pi, bara. then go to your. thats my opinion.
look also arduino threads, there may be a light on your interest.
