  • Fisher Gold Bug 2 Schematic or PCB

    Hello,

I'm looking for a Gold Bug 2 Schematic, PCB or Gerber files. Is there anything around here?
I want to build a VLF machine for gold prospecting for myself.

    Regards

The original Goldbug schematic is floating around, but I have never seen a GB2 schematic posted.

Do you know other good DIY projects for gold prospecting escpecially for small gold nuggets or very small ones.
I think i need one with a high frequency.

do not see a pic of GB2 board floating around. GM3, GB2, Scorp Gold Stinger, Eureka Gold are still left unaccessable. 2018 did not bring nothing on them new.

That's the original GB, runs at 19kHz.

              Lobo lite

PLEASE Note; the Lobo-Lite will only work with the Gold Bug, Gold Bug SE, Gold Bug DP, and Gold Bug Pro coils, or home built emulations of such, designed to operate around 19kHz.

It will NOT work with Gold Bug-2 coils (Gold Bug 11) which has an operating frequency of 71kHz, unless the filters and resonant caps are modified also.
The coil connection is important and will only work this way
              Coil connector
              Pin 1 to Gnd
              Pin 2 to RX
              Pin 3 to Gnd
              Pin 4 to TX

I hope this is the post of interest, lobo LITE

Thanks for the answers. The Lobo Lite looks very interesting to me. But i can't find gerber or layout files.

Gold Bug is the coolest one, among all those oldies.
I always wanted to make it; i never did it.
I am not sure if schematic is absolutely accurate.
Would be good to make it.
Or at least to obtain one original in mint state.

I did make a PCB layout for the gold Bug, in Sprint format. I'll post it. A man like yourself can carry it over the finish line with ease.

I spent many hours on this layout, and now I can't find it. I think I may have accidentally deleted the file. Oh well.

Here are two others that I had been working on some time ago and one is finished but the components need to be labeled, the other is 90% complete. If anyone is interested, I can get back to finishing them, with all the components properly labeled. I was looking for a good VLF beach detector circuit, these two seem to fit the bill.

Can someone help me please? I need the Gerber and drill files from Kevs Lobo Lite.
I have Target 3001 PCB Pool Version. But i think i have to buy the full version to export Gerbers.
I dont want to spend 60 Dollar for it.

Could someone export the gerber files for me?
