Reg Sniff is gone

Reg Sniff passed away yesterday. He hadn't posted on Geotech in a while but had been an active participant in many forums, freely helping people understand pulse induction and improve their machines. Reg helped out on the TDI-SL design when I was at White's and its silky-smooth threshold is largely due to Reg. In the last several years Reg had to stop working with circuits because his hands were no longer able to manipulate components, diabetes as I recall. But in prior years he gave a lot to the community and I was sorry to see his contributions wane. He will be missed.

Very sad to hear the news about Reg. We corresponded a lot in emails and posts in past years and in one visit to Whites he picked me up at Portland Airport and drove me to Sweet Home. On the way back we stopped off at a large aerospace museum for a look round the exhibits.

A very friendly and helpful person who contributed much in the development of PI; particularly the TDI.
