  • question to guru members

hello to all the gurus of the forum.
Do you think that in all the models of detectors described, studied on this forum, there is one capable of having performances in depth, and in small size of the targets, of course on wet beach, as good as the minelab eq800..600 ..sov ...? or similar performances ...? I'm not talking about discrimination here .. obviously ..

nobody has an answer to my question.
    have the specialists disappeared ??
my question may not be very clear ..
I will therefore put it down; which machine in this forum performs the best on small targets, in very wet sands in the Atlantic Ocean? mpp rev e, other ...? from a depth point of view, which machine comes close to a sov..excal..eq800 ..?
thank you to those who will have an answer.

I find that on the wet sand as well as in the sea, my Mini Pulse Plus performs about as well as my Equinox 600.

        thank you surfdetector
Do you have similar performances, with a detection coil of equivalent size? in target size? in depth ?

The standard Equinox coil is 11" DD coil, the coil on my MPP is 9" mono coil.

The most noticeable difference is that my MPP does not detect a US 25 cent as deep as the Equinox but that also has to do with how the MPP is tuned. The two detectors are obviously different technologies and therefore the comparison is not one with much merit in my opinion. I have both and enjoy using both.

            hello surfdetector,
yes indeed, the comparison of "devices" is not the idea of my initial question. I just wanted to do some comparison in terms of depth and size of targets.
I have already built several IDX; bara; surf; lobo, tgsl, feleez, pirate ...... a lot of coils for each device, concentric, DD, mono ...
I follow you on Youtube I subscribe to your channel. my best mono coil is 30cm made with litz wire. it allows a delay of 9ms. but I still do not reach 25cm deep on an 18k ring at the beach ..

my mpp beach also gave very good results, with a coil of 28cm, but I could not detect more than 28cm on a piece of 1eur. the 18k ring at 22cm max ...

yes, we make only the detectors with limited depth. if you want detectors with unlimited depth you have to rerun on LRL forum.
no sence to disput on matter of depth here. you got only you got. nobody in the world is able to direct straighten a curve hands of someone.
try to learn now DOUBLE FIELD COIL.... build it...

                    hello kt315
definitely I would never understand your allusions !? or your humor, it is true that on this forum, we are not talking about detectors .... the question is not to compete with this or that other machine, I just need a point of comparison. I am no longer a beginner, I bought inside metal detector book..
this is a very good read, full of good advice. and thank you for advising me it has already been several years. to come back to the subject of this post, I think the language must be distorted in the google translate, suddenly you don’t must not have understood my question ..
                    thank you

kt, 3 years ago, I made a double field coil, and yes it is the best.

                          double-field-basket coil.

Aren't all single frequency VLF near enough equal
Aren't all PI without ground balance about the same

There's no magic machine I can think of

There isn't a fully developed multi frequency home build machine I can think off

                              yes, I did that too.
but the most efficient remains for the moment, is my double coil litz wire 30cm ...litz 175/46
