Does any company sell a two-box detector with iron discrimination?
SMD = Surface Mount Device
SMT = Surface Mount Technology
The trace attachment is only useful for tracing utilities where you can physically attach the tracer to the buried wire/pipe. It won't help with locating isolated buried targets.
12ga wire at 24" is quite good. Without the data logger, would you have noticed it in the live audio response?
Carl, there's no way I could hear that wire. Though granted, my hearing at the age of 75 is lousy...LOL. Too much shooting in my young adult years. I initially thought the tracer had to be attached to the target, but saw a picture of it, somewhere, where it was attached to the transmit coil?? So then I wasn't sure how it was being used. That pic really confused me.
