There has been a new forum set up for people who are disgruntled with the noise problems in the ML gpx 4000. This is an important consumer issue that ML must address.
the URL of the new forum is:http://disgruntledgpx4000owners.ipbfree.com/index.php

My advice is, if you don't like Minelab, then don't buy a Minelab. Is that simple or what?

Overpriced rubbish IMHO. They've run out of ideas by the looks of it. Nothing new in three years now.

        Explains

        Hi All,

I was wondering why he wrote the Whitepaper, lot of trouble,

much more exhaustive explanation of interference from noise than

someone would usually write. Usually just short and sweet but all the

coil position stuff, blah, blah, what the heck? Now I get it.

Glad I didn't have to write it. Wrote it for the salesmen etc to point to

when the questions start, cause they would just mess it up all differently,

none of them correct. Interesting. Now I get it.

          Hope

Hope Dave tested and designed his Pulse Devil well

for external noise. Once something starts selling well

people will find everything/anything wrong with it.

          Right now everything is great.

By the way hows the secret design project coming?

Can you even say what it is you guys have decided to build?

Laptop, DSP, Lock-it-in, low power, high power, etc.?

Or are you afraid it will get stolen?

            You guys make me laugh.

I'm a little out of the loop so not sure what they're up to. I'm a little more buried in the amount of work I'm doing to fit out a full mechanical and electronics Engineering workshop at the moment, AND get the rest of the house renovated.

From what I can see the stuff they're got requires a fair few hours of analysis as it looks VERY good. LOTS of theory and math to wade through. A fair bit of it beyond me I think .

                Thanks

                Hi Sean,

Thanks for the update. Surprised you are out of the loop. I thought you were the loop.

Glad to see something is happening, was not sure. Curious though.

Strangley enough, they share a LOT in common with the UK government, and most "members" (pun intended) of UKDN they have their breasts where their heads SHOULD be!!
