underside of the PCB 2 star pulse 100 percent correct ,pulse is finally copied the complete star 2 and plotted all four tiles with all components .Strujasu thanks to my friend, the great help on this project.

OK ... this is the last comment I am going to make on this subject:
It appears that I did not get all the abusive posts, such as the one above. This was not done intentionally. In this case, I now cannot remove the post, as it will place your recent replies (above) out of context.

There are usually several reasons for using two or more PICs (processors of any type), one is that one processor simply cannot handle all the work properly, or it could be to make programming easier as you have one processor working on one job(s) and the other working the rest, or the work runs very asynchronously and a single processor simply does not have the "oomph" to jump about and do a proper job.....there could even be more reasons that I have not even mentioned......

This is completely correct, and also good example of my completely pointless and useless critical comments on this forum( i will try to avoid this in the future, keeping "low profile" and post only if i have something meaningful to say, to help someone or present some of my own projects)

From technical standpoint of view, C71 is now highly obsolete, it was obsolete even when that thing was built, and you can find many alternatives, ten's of times better in performance (even now and then) for almost nothing! (these things are ridiculously cheap anyway). So i'm just skeptical when solution like this appears in commercial product (OK for prototype, or project posted here, but not for full blown manufacturing). Looks like lazy and hasty job, someone didn't want to migrate from known platform or change evaluation system etc, that is why i criticize it.

Someone mentioned in the forums (some time ago) that the later Red Heat detectors contain 4 PICs.
