Delta pulse is good (deep) detector, but its power consumption is too high for my taste.

The Surf PI is really designed for beach hunting.
Why don't you build Hammerhead? There's all the information you need, plus a good quality PCB can be obtained from Silverdog for an inexpensive price.

1. for coins, jewelry on beaches - Surf PI, Hammerhead (BTW it is one schematic).
2. for big objects like coca cola pot, rifle, artillery shell, air bomb, tank, car - Delta Pulse.
3. for big objects also may use moded Surf PI and HH.

My delta pulse , with coil 40 cm , can detect 1 euro from 40 cm on air . !!
But important point for goldenskull , if you trust to your Lrods , and can find long buried metals
From long distance , you must be don’t use PI type detectors , only VLF .
For VLF , you can build sascho best vlf detector , my built can detect 1 euro coin with OO
Coil , diameter 19 cm from 40-45 cm on air by meter .
Also Tesoro golden sabre also good ( I am thanking from Qiaozhi , ivconic , max ) , my built can detect 1euro coin from 35- 40 cm
