What sort of gold? Tiny nuggets, bigger nuggets, gold coins, gold cache, gold vein, small golden statue, bigger golden statue? It is not all gold the same from detecting point of view. But in general better (more adaptive to your goals) PI are those with more (timing) controls.

i search for jar's of old gold coins,
if im not wrong just delta pulse classic and pulse star 2 have timing control
