Excal coil connection

I acquired parts to make a couple Excalibur?s. I obtained coils off eBay etc. and some had bad connections at the coil. I managed to get these working - I used heat shrink that had hot melt glue to seal the connection. But I screwed up on one putting it away - overstressed it - and it broke all 4 connections....

I was going to buy the IP68/69 potentiometers but then I was thinking I saw that the Excalibur's don't use IP rated pots but they have that shaft that passes through the housing with a series of o-rings on them.

I'm wondering if anyone has one around that can take some detailed photos of...
