Good evening gents, I recently recycled a hole bunch of ferrite beads from a board, I was wondering is If was to add them to the base of the transistors, on the metal detectors I've made from here, would it help anything, perhaps help clean up oscillations or something ? or would it simply be a waste... -
Newbie question: pinpointer coil for surf pi?
Wanted to get the inductance right, and know I can make a simple wound coil of magnet wire for a search coil using the coil calculators, but I want to wrap around a soft iron ferrite rod. Is there a different calculation for that? Could I just use a couple fixed inductors at the right total inductance...
