When I turn it on, it starts and the seconds mark me a led code, which is 2 6 8 10 12 14, check the manual and say it can be an open circuit or the coil, my detector is...

I have just got this md and noticed a low level high pitched sound coming from the body,I would be interested to hear from any other owners of this md if this is normal ? ,I know that on some equipment it can be a sign of capacitor problems. regards Jamie.
