Use parts list from post # 12. And Q4=Q5=Q7=MPS 102 you will not find anywhere but you will find MPF 102.

      Hello,

good tip with MPF102 many thanks

      the q´s are horrible

i love resistors because they resist

          Hello Friends,

Made a new pcb, I do not like those large standing caps...
In the zip is the sprint layout file, hope there are no errors...

          Best regards.

            Hello ApBerg

can you give some more information about the wire you use

            thx

Good job ApBerg. I used your first PCB. Coil 200mm diameter, wire diameter 0.56 mm (PVC insulation thickness 0.35mm), 29 turns. Detection is similar to yours and I notice the difference in color tone (and the ferromagnetic neferomagnetni). I see you on the second PCB kicked DELAY 10K potentiometer. All the best.

                Hi
can we use 1m*1m coil for bara? what is max detection depth for bara MD?

                all the best

                  Hello Bernd,

The wire has some more isolation around the copper, has to do with the 1000 Volts...?!
It works nice, but the coil take's more space as you can see.

                  Best regards.

that´s amazing i thought several times to use my old loudspeaker cable

                    schould i try it?

                    http://cgi.ebay.de/LAUTSPRECHERKABEL...item20b9108b4d

it has 110 single wires per channel in it and a thick inulation would made a planar coil fom it

Hi bernte_one. Had it not perhaps too thick wire: 2.5 mm ² is roughly the thickness of 1.8mm=13AWG ? ApBerg insulated wire is 2mm and is probably without insulation thickness of 0.5mm-0.8mm.

apBerg, could you please post the correct sprint pcbfile ( the one with the large cap laying down)? Thank You

                            BARA

Much Thanks Apberg, now I have the correct file. You do a nice job on pcb layouts. By the way, now that you have tried the BARA, do you think it is superior to the Surf PI? if so in what ways, your comments please.

                              Hello Wiltran,

Both are good detectors for beach hunting/ in water hunting, not for hunting very deep objects, they are motion detectors, but easy to use and giving good results with coils from 20- 25 cm. I think the bara is a little more sensitive, this is because the transmit power is somewhat longer on ( I think..) This results in some 3 - 4 cm more in air depth. The Bara is taking more power from the battery's. The Surf ca. 50mA, the Bara around 90 mA, at no sound and the same coils.
If the transmit "on time'' from the surf is extended the sensitivity and the power taken from the battery's is the around the same I think..
As diy project I have a little prefer for the Bara... just a feeling, they are both nice projects to make....

                              Best regards.

                              Ap

                                BARA

Are you using the mosfet or tip127? which one is better? If you use the tip127 do you get some amount of discrimination?
