    Hello
    my name is marthen and i live in syria am30 years old. And i made hammer head 1 but its didnt work and i dont know why if any one can help me i ll bee thankfull for all
    the sound not work and i dont know how to make it

    cd4016be
    ne5534p
    tl072cp
    and cd 74hc221
    i made every thing right and i dont know
    why its didnt work
    pleas help me

    Did you follow Carl's setup instructions???
    Checked for shorts, parts in correctly, pin 1 in pin 1).
    Check the Pulses with a O'scope?
    Read the many other HH Help threads?

          hi

          thank you for reply me
          i dont have any oscilloscope
          and am new in this hoppy and there is no sound when i turn it on
          the irf 740 its didnt go hot i chech it by volt meter its give 12 volt out to the coil can i massege you by email to give you some pic
          You dont know how much i need this project its for helping the people here to save them life
          many kids die here cus there is no metal detector here and its now allow here also
          i live in war country and 7 years of war here
          pleas if any one have made this detector can help me

                        You will need to find an oscilloscope. Not much you can do without one.

                          i find some app for laptop mapy its work . What you think

                            give it a try, with a proper voltage limiting probe, DO NOT TRY and measure the coil volts, the app may be fast enough to see some wave form's.

                              A PC, Audio card, O'scope can tell you if an output is clocking which is what you need to do. First step is to check all the timing outputs.

                              However, as 666 said - Do Not try measuring the coil. Best to have the Coil Disconnected to check the timing chips.

                              Also, use AC coupling (Cap is series with line-in) and doesn't hurt to have a series resistor.
