  • is there any ready-made kit that converts voltage to frequency?

It can convert voltage to frequency and that will work!
another way you can make two oscillators with 555 and connect the flc output to pin6 and work!

      • Thank you very much, that's what I'm thinking of doing with the 555, but should I connect it directly to pin6 of the 555?

        • From flc 100 directly to 555 will not have sensitivity flc100 two pieces go first to the comparator and then into the amplifier and from amplifiers in 555 I don't remember exactly whether directly to pin 6 or through a diode.
give this a try:Click image for larger version

          • Simplest way it to buy sensors with frequency output like FG-3 from www.fgsensors.com

            • I have the fgm3 but I never managed to make a perfect alignment. No matter how close I put them they had different example 45000 the upper sensor and the lower 43000 I never managed to make them both see the same, maybe with some synchronization it will be done something but it doesn't have

              • These types have it in practice.
You can tune them by placing them in a horizontal rigid plastic tube in the W-E (zero Earth field) direction in free space. Vertically, your measurements are normal (proximity to the ground).
You can correct this difference as zero in the program.

                • I did what you say, I managed to see exactly the same, but the problem is that when I turn 90? 180? the sensors change a lot between them. What I noticed is that the aluminum tube I have is caught by the sensors, that is, when I put the sensor on the aluminum this changes by 200nt. Maybe it needs plastic pvc water pipe but they are not perfectly straight they make a curve

                  • No metal around!
I use a 50mm plastic tube to install a central vacuum cleaner - I tested it as the stiffest available.

                    • FG Sensors do sell a 'Matched Pair' that are a bit more expensive than two single sensors.
I think you found out why.

                      • I will test the flc100 sensors and if I can't get the alignment right I will get the fg-3+ which are paired sensors.

                        • I did the epe magnetometer and now I have a problem when I need to transfer the recording to the laptop. Does the db connector have three wires soldered or do some still need to be connected? Yes, there are 4 like the usb that is on the laptop. If someone would post a picture of the db connector on the box, where the db connector is soldered to the pcb

                          • Yes, for communications 3 wires is enough. (Tx, Rx, GND)
Most new PC have only USB and not RS232 ports. I suggest to buy some RS232 to USB adapter.
