I envy you so much ! How can you get so many kinds of metal detectors, you have a Goldfish?

Bandido II uMax, also in good condition.
Never opened, inside everything shiny and "smelling fresh new".
Except from side stickers which are bit damaged.
I was comparing both with same coil.
Kinda Toltec is 5% "deeper" in air.
Both are pretty modest on Roman small bronze coin.
Clean audio response in disc mode barely above 10-12cm in air, coin is approx 6mm diameter.
In all metal mode up to 20cm.
GEB-ed on large piece of Roman brick.
I don't know why those two machines are so "shallow", man would expect bit more from them.
Deus on same coin at ~28-30cm in air.
It's been quite a while since i done anything on Tesoro subject. I forgot almost all the experience i collected in time with my diys.
Now after these skim tests... kinda wonder if there would be any sense to try to mod these and improve their performances at least a bit.
Main obstacle is in fact that both are SMD with tiny components. Will see.
Or i will just keep them in collection for remembering good old times...
            Both are simply cute.

I wanted to buy a cheap Compadre from ebay but it was sold after. There are severall mods for it mainly battery and trimmer change mods.

SilverDollar posted his results with the Bandido and he said it consumes only 15mA . Maybe you should try the battery mod, 9v battery is very handy but cant deliver "Power".

              Just my humble oppinion .

I spent whole day yesterday in small corrections and adjustments.
Than i printed prototype. Not finished yet.
There are several very small (but important) details yet to be corrected.
But i had to print it; to see it "alive" and to additionally prepare corrections.
In 3D printing you can not rely that you will get what you see on pc monitor; since melted plastic is behaving sometimes different than expected.
Usually it takes one or two printed prototypes to get perfect finish.
Lot of hard labor, lot of trial&errors.
Here is what i have done so far:
