Hi Asanka Sanjeewa,
I had a look at the videos. It is strange (or a fake) the detector can detect a large piece of car brake from a far distance but an iron plier near not. That is strange. Are you sure that in all three videos the same detector circuit shows? Maybe they are fake videos like so many stuff on YouTube.
Based on the circuit it is not possible to discriminate like that. If you would study the Gold Scan 4 circuit, you would understand what we mean.

Hi,
the detector seen in the video shows some respectful good performance. No doubt about this. Further, the schematic looks also simple and interesting (to me). This is also the second schematic I have seen so far who uses a LF398 (Sample and Hold IC).
If you would replace the LF398 IC chip with an ordinary sample and hold circuit, than the circuit of the TL12000 contains almost the same circuit blocks like the ProScan or Sandbanks PI. There is also no differential amplifier to remove the EF ground signal like in the Mini Pulse, Surf Master or Barracuda etc. In order to have a true discrimination capability, you need at least 2 signal channels for high and low conductivity targets like seen in the Gold Scan 4 e.g. But in the TL12000 is only one channel seen. Therefore, the circuit of the TL12000 is not able to make a true discrimination of iron or distinguish between gold an iron targets.
@ Videos
In on Video you can hear no “beep” if an iron object (hammer / plier) in front of the coil is. However, in another video the same detector “beeps” if you place an old car brake in a distance of about 2 meter. If there is a true iron discrimination, the detector should not beep at all. That’s why I have doubts about the videos.
Anyway, it is definitely an interesting circuit and I will try it out to see its capability.

this pcb pattern is true, many home made producers got good results using this pcb pattern, here the evidence
