This is how most walk-throughs are designed... multiple TX coils on one side, and multiple RX coils on the other. They create detection zones.
I own a Garrett walk-through, always intended to take it apart and show how the coils are set up, but never have. It's that round tuit thingy...

Qiaozhi, as far as I am in course a walk-through detector has a system of coils. so there are zones of sens - low, middle and top zones. every zone can be tuned by metal samples, all these samples are marked and everyone has determinated mass you can tune every zone individually.
