It is not 3900 for sure.
Most likely it is PI and something as SurfPi.
I haven't seen original pcb from it anywhere so far, that's why i am not sure.
It is also not AF108 because i have photos of original AF108 pcb.
Could it be SurfPI?
Most probably is... or some variation.
Anybody have photos of original SurfPI pcb?

White's-UK developed several PI detectors independently of White's-US. I have a "PI-1500" pipe locator which is what I first thought your board might be for, but the board is too big (looks to be ~10cm square) to fit in the box. White's-UK also developed the old PI-1000 through PI-3000 diver models, I'm not sure how big the enclosures were but they might be big enough. And UK also designed one of the PI mine detectors, but I doubt that's what you have. I can say very confidently your board is not any variant of the Surf PI, which was designed and built only by the US factory. Plus this board looks too old. My inclination is the PI-1000.

It also has a "slot" type of connection on one side, as on photo, typical for much older White's designs.
I've seen such "slot" last time on 3900, though not used there too.
Since it has clearly marked two power transistors; 99% is a PI detector and not IB.
PI-1000 that you are mentioning is very good lead! I will try to compare and trace some parts.
Thanks!

Could there be a clue bottom left "PI15086"
PI 150. In 1986
Just a guess
Pulse Induction detectors are now widely used in the construction industry; the Whites PI-150 is an industrial machine which can detect large objects to 10 feet, using a 12 or 15 inch coil.
