CHANCE Pcb's

I must admit I also fancy a go at CHANCE, but then again TGSL too !!

Oh well its only money, I might order both !!

I spent a couple of hours tracing the chance pcb today as no CAD files are forthcoming
If anyone sees any mistakes please let me know, silkscreen next, oh joy !!

Though nothing special regarding depth, we must know that techologies (like MPS) software incorporated in Chance show its advantages particularly on very heavy terrain (high mineralised soil). So, where other (primarily VLF) detectors lose their depth or even go out of work, Chance is capable to maintain their depth skills, or even show improved characteristic.

Because of that Chance's priority use is in field of gold prospecting on bad terrain (most gold-rich area are highly mineralised).

For other purposses better to use / build others proven VLF or PI detector.

This is why I am interesting in Chance - at the moment only DIY detector which incorporate some advanced technologies suitable in first line for prospecting. For 5gr nugget you can expect about 15cm detecting depth with suggested coil on heavy soil, plus working discrimination, which is good enough for me to decided to build it.

sweet words. are you yet in course Andy does not share off SOURCE code? this is his rule - you will get HEX file, it is very good certainly thing, but will never get the SRC. what you will know about how the schematics works if you absoliutely dont know how the chip PROGRAMM works? if HH full analog schematics is open, Chance and Clone will being CLOSED from your apprehension evermore!

You are quite right of course KT315, we will never see the source code

But sometimes man wants to build just so he knows he can !!
It keeps us busy and keeps the mind active, even if its not very good !!
You never know, it may inspire someone else to write some code and release the source

Which board would you vote for then KT315 ?

Yes, KT315 is right, it would be nice if there was a source code for the CHANCE....,
but I like to make the Chance to see how it works...
I am not KT315...., so I can ask him if his design from the Delta Puls can be a nice next project, I think that one from the better PCB designs from the Delta Puls is made by KT315 ? Correct me if a am wrong. (So we can keep Silverdog busy....)
There must be many from us that like to make also a deep going PI, with large coil, if there is a good double side board ?

have you read feedbacks about chance depth and discrimination? you can not read in russian and why you are blind, eah? sleeping away, eah? I READ russian and say you now - chance has poor depth and absoliutely pale disc possibility. I give you THIS LINK. learn russian BEFORE you will begin to build chance.

if anyone inspired to write the code so why this anyone had not released out White's XLT and Sovereign GT chips' codes?

but I like to make the Chance to see how it works...
I am not KT315...., so I can ask him if his design from the Delta Puls can be a nice next project, I think that one from the better PCB designs from the Delta Puls is made by KT315 ? Correct me if a am wrong. (So we can keep Silverdog busy....)
There must be many from us that like to make also a deep going PI, with large coil, if there is a good double side board ?

ApBerg... you have to due appreciate that we have only oldie Delta Pulse and have nothing more from schematics. what I offfer... to think about Double Field PI, PI with two TX-RX coils. it will be more compact than large coil with keeping of the depth. I did not Delta Pulse PCB, I used one done by guy from Latvija. this is first oldie design PCB, good working and tested design. to do new design - for what? what it will give us?

without the source code (means Assembler or Turbo C++ or anything still in hight level programming language) your chance will be only non-understandable 'BLACK BOX'. good working black box. you will not have a possibility to change anything in the box. no one byte! no one chance to change anything in the HEX code and SRC code! your black box will being is ANTI-chance only! ANTICHANCE! you will only wait Andy can give you sweety annual instalment in form 'to suck the caramel-on-rod cockadoodledoo' of or not. Andy... will being your GOD... I agree with you that there is no need for a new DeltaPuls board if there is a good working one ! In the past I saw one with your KT315 logo ?, that board I had in mind.

Thanks for your advice to make different RX and TX coils for Puls detectors, I must make that indeed to see how good it works. I am thinking for coils that have 50 cm in diameter.
Have you made that size double PI coils ? and if so, are they more sensetive then larger coils from what size ?

seems you want keep the bull for his horns. I do not write I HAVE or I KNOW-HOW, I write TO LEARN. here was a guy who did two-box moded 'twin loop' PI but I look you probably was out at the time.

I suspect KT315 is correct, CHANCE may not be as good as we hope, but I still want to build one !!
Silkscreen is now done, anyone see any errors ?, if not I'll order the boards soon
