How is this detector in sand/ beach/ salt water?

On dry and wet sand no problem. I've tested on beach baltic sea, all is working fine. In salt water while snorkeling, I prefer to use my homemade PI detector XL200 in water proof enclosure.
I would expext, that any VLF detector like FM3, will get false signals in salt water.

A little head up to say thank you to Blobber. My Fortuna is working after a long struggle to figure out I had to ditch all the crappy switches from Aliexpress. I m really impressed by the capacities of it. Just after an hour in a field where I ve already been 3other time I still managed to discover some good things last but not least Blobber has been really helpfull providing lots of advises:thank you again!

Hi Julien, sorry for my late replay.
Well, I'm realy glad that you solved the problem with your build. The 3166 analog switch seems to be a very sensitive item. I also had some batches from AliExpress, with many bad ones.
Very nice finds you get so far, I hope you get a lot more of them with your Fortune.
