      Good Morning
Reading your post concerning the Myty Myte would it be possible for you to email me the Schematic circuit diagram.
      My email address is arthur.hunt4@btinternet.com

              Myty-Myte Schematics...

I sent MM schematics to Homefire, so they should show up here soon.

Joe (TX), I have some health issues, to say the least, but I haven't gone down
for the count yet. Looks like, from reading the posts above, I got you and Joe (USA)
mixed up a number of years ago.

Good luck building, tinkering and hunting guys.

              Ty

                Here they are.

                Boy, not so clear.

Did you all know we already had some of this stuff?

Still have mine - I'm pissed that I'm not able to get it working. I put it aside for when I have more time. I guess I'll never be able to fix a Minelab (I continuously look for a bad one as all I can afford) if I can't fix this! If someone ever has one on the bench I'd sure like to see some scope shots of key circuit areas.

Looking at mine again... There is a red pushbutton. What is that for? Also a multiturn pot by the shaft and a volume control with power switch. No adjustable caps and no switch to switch between caps. So different schematic. The black wire in the cable doesn't go anywhere on either side. That seems wrong. Perhaps with wires just broke off over time. Really wierd cable wire - like spiral flat wire wound around cotton. Miserable stuff.

....I haven't looked at mine in a while....the red bush pushbutton I believe is for a battery check!!??.....or it could be a retune button??!!......

If you do happen to open yours I'd like to know if the black wire from the cable is connected to something.
I think the red led comes on if I press the button but even so the audio works if I increase the 10 turn pot enough.
The detector just does not pick up things smaller than a nearby toolbox. The schematics I've seen so far don't have the button and have capacitor range selection and/or trimpots. The wiring of the cable looks so flakey that I'll likely try replacing it first. I think the transistors are good in the unit. I have the coil open and see no issues there but perhaps the caps are flakey (very old). I can post some interior photos later today.
