Hi, I have built tgsl edu, I would like to incorporate lcd detector.

        You can publish the details?

        Works well?

You may post a video of the operation of the detector?

Please, here I do not quite clarify. http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...hlight=arduino I know you were in the same situation.

I use I2C connection.....because the source code works with i2c. Pins must be U104 and U105 on pin 6. Device in operation video will come soon;-).
I have build the first Arduino Vdi-shematic on a striped pcb board. This one runs with a etched pcb.

Use an I2C Lcd (or an I2C-Module) for your device. It saves a lot of time in wiring and is very easy to connect;-)
Your tgsl board looks really good.

                First thanks for your support.

I have read the thread 3 times and still have doubts.

I created an image and I think the connections are like this.

                You can check it?

This can be worth in the future to other people, I hope your help many thanks.

i dont have a layout here for now.....for the first, you dont need 5v battery for arduino. You must connect 12v from tgsl to Arduino Raw (+) and Gnd (-). Raw is where "Vin" is in your Layout.
Then take Vcc (5V) and Gnd from Arduino to power your opamp. Vcc is the 5 Volt output of the arduino. You dont need a extra battery. Then check your encoder connections.

Your display must be "I2C"!. Ive connected a non i2c lcd the first time too. It doesnt work.

Have you download the lyquidcrystal_i2c lybrary and the menu system for the arduino software?

What do you see on your display when you turn the device on. Black cursors?
Have you uploaded the Md_v13 sketch to Arduino?
What display did you use for now.....did you use I2C?

Your connections looking right but i will check that soon:-)

                    Thanks again for your help.

I will ask China an I2C screen.

Guided by his advice I created another design.

look at the picture. Take the Vcc output and Gnd as shown in the Picture. Your connection is on USB 5V input, thats not right.
The problem is definetely your wrong Lcd screen. Connect the ordered I2C Lcd and everething will work fine;-) Dont forget to connect the encoder;-)
