Can't measure inductance at White+Green.
From my experiments I would suggest a range from 300uH to 500uH as optimal, although I did have good results from an inductance as high as 1.12mH.

I measured the F75 loops as TX = 696uH and RX = 6.9mH.

A Pulse Induction Metal Detector with Iron Discrimination
Pulse induction metal detectors are very sensitive to ferrous (iron) targets, and one that can ignore iron has been a sort of holy grail for metal detector developers for some time.
The Voodoo Project is a written record of the author's personal mission to design and develop a working pulse induction (PI) metal detector that is capable of good iron rejection.
Voodoo is a hybrid detector with features of both a PI and a VLF. The design goal was to develop a PI that can be used both inland and on the beach. In particular, special attention was devoted to finding non-ferrous targets in areas infested with ferrous trash. Rejection is not based on target conductivity, as Voodoo provides true ferrous/non-ferrous discrimination.
This book is available worldwide exclusively on Amazon.
Thought I would post my "internal" parts list, might help someone, in addition to the BOM in Post 1.
I like having the pitch of capacitors known, as there often is a lot of choice when ordering
and I just hate forcing radial and box capacitors pins if they dont fit exactly.
Open for suggestions and errata of course, cheers, polymer

I'm not sure I couldn't find proper info /Goldbug and F2 coil data, but if any good I can obtain those on the really cheap side/.
But I've just managed to snatch a Fisher F75 SEF (Detech) coil for 1/2 of the price while the coil is brand new.
I also have original Minelab 28cm DD coil for SD2200, co-planar 45cm for SD/GPX (Detech); Vlf coils I have Minelab Musketeer (specs are really close to F75, need to recheck but probably TX inductance would be to high), I have XT17000 and FT16000 minelab VLF coils, DeepTech Vista Gold 28cm and 35cm which can also be measured if any good.
Too bad all my stuff is all scattered in several different locations so it's going to be a journey to put things in some order.

Eclipse I don't think he'll work with coil for SD2200 or any of the gpx series because it is in my estimation in question more vlf detector ,right on I work with pi which uses a coil for VLF and for now it works great I work with OO coil and can work with concentric VLF coil...
And if help is needed Microelectronics I have a couple of good friends who work in Mikroe!

Thanks for posting your list. That is good information.

Just out of curiosity, wll there be a Build file available for the Voodoo project, like the Minipulse plus, or are we able to build and tune the detector from information in the book? I've enjoyed what I've read of the book so far but I've still a lot to learn before I'll ever fully understand everything,,still, it's fun learning and I know I'm going to enjoy this project and learn a lot more along the way. Regards, Marty.

Thanks George for that nice stuff, got my book yesterday and read the first pages while eating some stracciatella ice in the kitchen, make more sense to me as looking greys anatomy with my wife ;-)
can you proved the source code / hex file direct as download? or as personel email?
are the any changes necessary at rev c gerber files or can i order a small batch for german customers already?
if mschmal, prospekteur and andi are interested i cand send pcb

Carl,
Thank you for attending all our questions. I add two more to the list.
- Is it possible that Figures 3-7 and 3-8 in the book are interchanged? Or are they taken at reversed polarity points?
- In addition to Silverdog providing the PCBs in his virtual store, I find it interesting that he also sold the programmed PIC
Regards to all in the forum
