Minipulse Rev-E is capable of detecting a Victorian penny at 13" to 14" (33cm to 35.6cm) with a Garrett Infinium LS elliptical (14"x10") coil.
With a 400uH homemade 9" diameter mono coil, the Victorian penny was detected at 12" (30.5cm).

Are those quoted depths in the ground ?

He mentioned having mineralised ground so may need GEB

sorry, not. a realisation of black sands tuning is different. look on the facepanel.
try seek out this switch in the schematic.

The measurements were made in an air test. However, there is little difference between an air test and tests in the ground when using a PI detector. This is why VLF detectors always appear to give better results in air tests when compared to a PI. VLF detectors will generally lose between 25% and 33% of their "depth" when used in the real world.

                    It is not fair.
TGSL is usually identified with what Eduardo did (absolutely nothing, except maybe corrected few traces on my pcb draw)... SEVERAL YEARS AFTER i initially did TGSL.
By saying this; i don't have any negative thoughts upon Eduardo, on contrary! I fully respect his work and appearance on this forum.
And this is not even his merit, he only posted his variation, with no second thoughts at all, i am sure about this.
This intentional "finger poke in eye" is generated by few other members, who can not stand my awkward personality.
Those "vodka drinkers" simply want to wipe out any trace of my existence on this forum. Until vodka destroys their liver totally.
Am i egocentric to ask such little respect on this?
Truth is; i don't give a ..it at all.
As original and only one "author" of TGSL (Tesoro Golden Sabre Lite) i have full right to say something upon this.
There is no such thing as "TGSL EDU". There is only "TGSL".
TGSL is made on Malta, back in 2004. Hand drawn on piece of paper.
TGSL is very good detector if made right. And it is not easy to be made right at all.
It demands lot of skills and understanding.
Otherwise... vodka drinkers will be very happy with your dissatisfaction with TGSL.

                    P.S.
I bet that Giffords also don't feels good at all when see "TGSL" label placed on their original design.
Ivconic is absolutely right. The project is TGSL and the author is Ivconic. What I did was to make certain modifications and some improvements in the design of the PCB. The real merit is Ivconic, because he was the one who simplified the original TGS. I really appreciate Ivconic, because he has shared much of his knowledge in this forum, that thanks to him, this forum has been active for a long time. I have been away from the forum for a long time, because I am realizing that there are very few people who contribute something. most are taking advantage of the knowledge of others and are selling the projects on Ebay. For this reason I don't want to publish anything else. I'm already tired and I think there are more people who agree with me.

for what? what aim of that if you delete out ALL-METAL mode? i reminder you that right coil balance tuning is possible just in ALL-METAL mode.
you just deprive a possibility to right tuning a coil and people get constant problems.

As usually you don't know what are you talking about.
TGSL is having all metal mode.

                          I agree with you Eduardo.
This forum is overtaken mostly by people who don't know what they are talking about ... and yet posting numerous posts, everywhere, mixing in every possible topic.
If you take and list EACH possible existing topic in all existing threads of Geotech forum; you will easily spot just few names constantly present there, constantly posting short or long form rubbish all over again.
It is the "me knows everything better" kinda persons. So they suffer from pretty painful daily urge to come here and post just anything. Any possible nonsense.
KT315 is ultimate champion in this! He is everywhere and he knows everything better. And unfortunately he must appear everywhere and drop at least few nonsense posts.
He never made TGSL. He never saw any in action. Actually he never saw any in alive. And yet he claims that i removed all metal mode from it!?? Despite the fact that my schematic is widely available on many topics here, repeatedly reposted so many times so far.
Either he was too lazy to see it ... either he is so illiterate and ignorant to be able to clearly see the all metal mode intact in schematic!
