      Hello markantony
Please tell me which pcb version did you use ? and what's the coil gauge [ coil thickness ] of TX and RX
Your IDX pro is very deep and sensitive. therefore i want to make machine as an your IDX PRO
      Thanks for your video

      • I would like to start building this metal detector, I found several schemes with different components and various pcb models.

do you recommend the scheme with the best components and the best pcb?

i also build vdi and tone mod

I would go for the IDX Pro Silverdog sells a PCB for.
This one has probably been built by the most number of people.

Not sure on the Tone mod. Do build it WITHOUT changes First to ensure it works as predicted.

The VDI is a great addition. I built the VDI for a TGSL and it is very nice to have in helping ID targets.

I build the pcb, but I don't know which is the best, I found 3 of them, called white's, dexxter and another unnamed, and I don't know which one to use, same thing for the components, in the schemes I have found there are different components

            • The SilverDog PCB is based on the "Whites IDX Pro" PCB.
The schematic I have that should be correct for this PCB is:

Thank you for sharing true schematics and PCB Layout. I made polish pi, Deltapulse 2 , clone pi w and felezjoo pi. They are real machine. But very difficult to balance coil when i make IB metal detectors. Thank you

                      • Hiya Walt,,,,Thanks for posting the files above,,,,Hope you don't mind me asking but does any parts have to be removed from the IDX PCB when you wire the 2 Tones pcb to it? I have 2 IDX's made and working but I'm wanting to redraw the pcb with the 2 tone board added to it so it fits in these enclosures that I have. Thanks, Marty

Just looked through all the files I have on the IDX and see NOTHING about a 'Two Tone' mod.

Are you thinking of the TGSL's 'two tone' mod?

I would however, recommend the VDI Roderico designed and coded with a graphic display.
I run the VDI on my TGSL and a is really great help when trying to dug good targets out from junk.

                          • I have this schematic for a 2-tone mod, the schematic is titled "classic 3", which I think looks just about the same circuit as the IDX.

                            • The video says "IDX 2 tones", but I hear 3 tones! At the end of the video you see a glimpse of the add on board, which by my eyes contains two chips, an 8-pin chip and another chip which looks to be a 14-pin job.
