    Looks good, check if you have on the NE5534 pin4 -5volt and on pin7 +5volt ?
    You have audio after you use the tune potentiometer ? and no reaction on metal ?
    Put the delay potmeter in mid position, then check if iron is detected ?

      i have NE5534 pin4 +1.89volt and on pin7 +5.08volt
      i dont have audio after i use the tune potentiometer. no reaction at all, nothing.
      i Put the delay potmeter in mid position, then i checked if iron is detected
      but still nothing

        You need to have -5v on pin 4 from the NE5534 remove the NE5534 and then look again on pin4 ? check also the pins 7 from the 4093 and 4066

        look at the png, orange = +batt
        red= +5volt
        bleu= -5volt
        green= ground

        there can be some small differents with you board...and I just made it so not checked !!

          RED ISN'T REALLY MY COLOUR BUT.... ))
          You need to have -5v on pin 4 from the NE5534 remove the NE5534 and then look again on pin4 (REMOVED 5534 4.20V) ? check also the pins 7 from the 4093 and 4066 (ALSO 4.20V FOR BOTH) WHEN 5534 IS ON 4093 AND 4066 1.88V.

          look at the png, orange = +batt
          red= +5volt
          bleu= -5volt
          green= ground

          now for the board you send me. orange is 12.48v all of them are ok
          for red all of them are +5v
          and for the blue where i think the problem is we only have two places that i have -5.07. the rest are 3.36v and 1.86

              Think your NE5534 is not with us anymore.....test it with a new one

                  between 7660 pin 5 and R5 is a direct track

                  how can one end be -5v and the other +1.86v ?

                      Maybe the lower end of R5 is not connected.

                        when i take out NE5534 the measure is 4.20v, when on is 1.86v. R5 is connected, i tried again gluing it but is the same result.

                          I think both Silverdog and I read your post to mean that the 4.2V and 1.86V measurements were at each of a segment of PCB track. Now I see these voltages depend on whether the NE5534 is in circuit or not. In that case, either the NE5534 or ICL7660 is most likely faulty.

                              Think you mean minus -4.2volt ! check this, all the bleu track has to be the same voltage.. if not check the tracks if broken or if it has a solderbrige's

                                no is +4.2 without 5534 on, and +1.86 with 5534 on.i know it should be minus but the soldering looks good, tracks are fine, i checked it too many times.

                                i don't know why this happens, does 5534 somehow can output negative voltage?
