  • hello I suffered that nightmare of coil error and it was simple and simple when you use original components that is solved ... the safest thing is that the problem is some false component

    • Thank you for your ansear... If someone have to 100% correct schematic please upload it to be sure and as for the components you mean the lf357 , irf840, bs170 and 1N4148? Do we have a brand or somethink in addition to change them???

About the LF357N , any photo or serial that works and it is ok with felezjoo schematic?

      What to try change?

So as a conclution if the shcematic is 100% correct and try to change these components it will work?

        • irf740, lf357, bs170 they have to be 100% original ... the coil I used from 280 uh to 400 uh .. felezjoo pi - part list.pdf

          • hi all, i was looking on ebay uk today at older and hard to find components, and there are quite a few sellers selling new old stock western and soviet components.
it has been said that genuine lf357's are hard to find https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K140UD23-...sAAOSwGMJa0Ytw

            https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KR140UD12...8AAOSw-jhUEskH
these two sellers have pages of stuff, now i know some will say its expensive but you wont find metal can lm108 or lf357's in every shop.
in my opinion genuine soviet components are way better than fakes.
we will see if they are any good as i have ordered 10 555 timers some lf357's lm108's and an 8085 soviet co processor
            thanks,
            aly.

            • Anyone have the KiCad or EagleCAD or Gerber files from felezjoo last 100% correct schematic?? ... if someone knows printing pcb site - service it would be perfect!

              • TYPON 2.zip 100% this is 100% .. no errors ... do not connect gnd use 2 wires for the coil ... do spider coil ... if you do all this and use original components everything works the first without errors

                  Hello everyone!

Studying schematic of Felezjoo PI found a note about those 2 resistors

Im OK with the 1% requirment..R12 is the damping resistor for coil and should be able to handle power (2W),my question is why R11 should be 2W as well??Looked schematics from MPP,CB,Delta Pulse etc they dont have a resistor in wattage like that..

Also is it(R11) count as input resistor for the receiver side (R11 + R10)??

R12 should be trimmed value to match correct damping for coil,R11 should be changed also to identical value??

I finished my build and i have a very stable detector,i cannot understand why with basket coils reads how ferrous a metal is and with mono's dont..Also when i try to attach a coil with high capacitance(1mx1m) the coil error is there..

I couldnt find the authors original coil design..

                    • hi mushaba.
With a small coil you can change the damping resistance over 380R but with a big coil does not work. It must be 380R.

                        • for better operation of ferrous reject. in a mono coil .used multi-wire like that

                          • Hi sbalio1,I build it successfully and tryied various coils...Try to keep the 3 debug numbers close to 300-700-800 as the author says in his blog,I still don't know what theese numbers do...my coils are made from standard magnet wire and ptfe multistrand..It can work with variety of coils as long as you keep the specifications near to authors..In general I'm not satisfied with any of my Felezjoo coils because due to not been shielded I get very good depth but also on field I get many false alarms.

The problem of this detector is the bad signal on the ground. The sensitivity level must be reduced to 16 or 15 or 14. In a difficult soil, delay between 30 to 40. ground must be set between 1 and 3. In a soil which is not difficult .ground between 5 to 8 so that the detector does not lose too much detection distance The coil should be raised from 10 to 15 cm
