Hi Geo
Here are two ideas for a solution that you can try:
Thanks Magma.
Do you know if the waveforms are ok or not??
Also first 2 days the disk worked ok (no perfect but good).
Today i will replace the capacitors for phase shift.

Hi WM6.
I have 3 ready coil and i want to make it to work with them.
They are a 10"DD from MD5002, a BlueMax 950- 9.5" from my Whites XLT and a BlueMax1500 - 15" from Whites for XLT etc. I saw that this simple detector with the 15" coil has better ability to detect a 30mm coin than my Sovereign. So i want to play with it.
Regards
Hi,Geo!My problem with this pcb was a cold solder.I resoldered all the parts and everything is ok now.My handmade coil is 42w 0.56 Tx and 173w 0.25 Rx.LC-meter shows 0.9 /16.6mH .I tried many frequencies and found that it works very well from 7 to 9 khz.Now it works at 7.6khz.For Tx I put 470nf and for Rx -22nf .I can fully reject ferrite, discrimination is very good.I use two KF347=LF347. For 1.3M rezistor I put 3M.Tx is 20v p-p.I have found what is BIAS for.If you adjust GEB with a small ferrite (3sm long, and 8mm diameter)there is a point where ferrite is almost rejected, but there are some cracks.Diskr.pot is 1/3 turned to right. At this place of GEB I can detect very deep but sound was ropy and almost double at the end.By turning the BIAS sound become normal. After that I turned discr. pot to the place where iron pliers were almost fully rejected. Then with a little bit of gold I adjust the fase so detector to detect this bit. This happen when fase pot is fully turned to right.I left detectors working for many hours while I am on work and when I returned to him I can`t understand if it`s still works -no sound,no cracks at all and sensitivity is great.I have not 1 euro, but 1 lev (bg) is detected at 34-35sm when pliers were discriminated.A very nice machine. Now I will try schematic with LM555 these days..
P.S: I`ve forgot to ment -my coil is DD27
Hi Pompey.
I found the first problem with sound, it was a fault 100n capacitor. But now the problem is the coils. As i see at Bluemax the Rx signal is about 35degrees rear of the Tx signal. So i must make it to be in phase with tx signal. I will try to late the Rx signal other 330 degrees so to be in phase with the Tx or other 150 degrees and to reverse the winding. But it is not so easy to make it. With the disk potentiometer closed and when i have signal only on the one channel (ferrous), it detect a 30mm coin at 50+cm with the coil no good tuned. This is the reason that i try to make it to work right.
I wish you to get this machine working I will also wind DD38sm coil and try it with the first pcb with LM555.I found that the first pcb is smaller than the last one -it`s only about 7.7/9.4sm.I`ll try it tomorrow may be.

Good luck.
DD38 would be a fantastic coil for coins biger than 25mm.
My 38cm(15") coil detects the soda can at about 1m. All test are on air of course
I will sell my Nexus, and I think this will be the ideal replacement, I will ask and start components, wish me luck, ha, ha, ha.
PD: pcb manufacture of ivconic, Developer No. 1 VLF MD. Ivconic thanks for their work.
Hi,
Ivconic.
Can you measure what are resistances of this TS100 coil.
I just measure those on RH coil and they are 3,9ohms/40,6ohms.
Waiting to see this video when you are ready.
