Please take a look and corect if needed.
    Sorry for the ugly picture.
    And one more question:
You tell me that I fix with glue only the half before nullinng.
From where should I read nullling value?Whit what?
And buy mooving the plastic ring I should search for 0 reading?
    Thanks for HELP.
p.s.How is the wether in CZ?
Have you used minelab relic halk? And did you have schematic of this unit?

      Hi,

for good null you must at first fixed only part of coil and than check signal on U8 pin 6 - 2 channel oscilloscope is better for this. For starting use 100k R37 and R38.
You can try the null procedure without fixing (gluing) the coil and you will see the reaction of moving of coil and another parts.
There must be something like this: http://www.volny.cz/kachlik.jan/dete..._outio1atx.gif
1 channel (yellow) signal on U8 pin 6 it can't be realy 0 but nearly zero
detector work with max cca 300mV p-p sinus
2 channel (green) signal X3 TX coil - generator out (about 15-20V p-p)

If you have good signal (nearly zero) on U8 you can fix next part of coil and increase amplification of U8 with R37,38.

p.s. the weather was fine today

        Hi,

I am glad to see that you are registered now.
Unfoutunatly I have only multimeter, but for the original TGS it was good enough!
Can you advice me how to null this coil with multimeter?
        Thanks

            Hi,

            Hello,
In the hurry I have misstaken you Zdenek with TXP which also live in CZ.
            So please excuse me.
I think that almost got everything!
Zdenek have you tested TGSA in ground? What is the depth compared with normal TGS?Have you proove this?
            Thanks

              Hi

I have made another one too.
              Please revise all!
So where should I conect my multimeter in ACV to read nulling?
And then buy fixing FinalWinding of Comp.Coil/direction/I null this coil!?right?
Is Compensation coil same wire d as RX?0,25mm bare wire!?
              Thanks

You can use for all coils 0.25mm wire, but for TX is better 0.4mm.

You can use only alu-stripes over the TX and RX coil, but better is alu-COMP-alu-RX-alu (like a sandwich), all alu-foils have a split/space about 2cm around terminal leads of coils. Use only one layer and for better connection you can use bare Cu wire, which is wind with alu foil (must be splitted same as alu-foil).

Dont forget to glue all coils with varnish between you wind a alu-foil and next coil !

Depth of this detector is high dependent on coil - if you have good coil with good vibration-resistance (coils is good fixed), you can search current coin in 25-30 cm depth with 22cm coil.

                  Hi,

                  Hi,
For 22 am coil this is quiet good!
So for real coplander is deeper in normal soil.
                  Is this a triple coplander?
I cant understand how you make conecions between the f.cage layers?
I cant solder foil,so I use thin copper wire. But I usualy wind around the winding stripe of al foil forming shield. So as you explain me I cant get it,but first to build unit I will think again for coil and will contact you.

And in pictures I have insered a small questions!!!Will be glad if you answer this too.
                  Thank you.

                    Hi,

                    Hi,
Have you tryed the unit on varius terains or just tested it work in soil?
Because I am interested in ancient fortress that are almost equal to hevymineralized ground and need extra care.Plus this the ithems in to 12-17cm are digged a long time ago so I need depth too.
                    Thanks
Can I use for conection of coil and detector 2 separate shielded wires?
How is TGS Digital going on?

                        Hi,

                        Hi,
                        Thanks TXP for shared info.
But how should I use this. What are this schottky diodes and this silicon diode?
                        Can I use 1N4148 insteed?
So,conect this circuit to the points and wach for smalest reading on my multimete?Doing this buy giving direction of last turn for Comp.Coil?RIGHT?
And what are this resistors that I see on potenciometers? On the pictures in your site? Also it seems that you have added pot for controling volume level?
                        Right?
                        Please explain.
And I will be glad if you post more pictures of the ready unit!
                        Thanks

                          Hi,
schottky diode is a fast diode
                          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schottky_diode

                          1N5711, BAR42 or 43, BAT42 or 43 or another

1N4148 you can use instead silicon diode. You are right, read smalest DC value on your multimeter....

The resistors are R42a,b,c,d on disc and notch level potentiometer.

                            Ok.
I will finish this nice detector very soon.Heave new task to get with.
Can you tell me what is this part?
                            I can see.

It's only anti-interference ferrit core (perl) with cooper wire (if you have'nt use only jumper)
