  • I did it by myself.
I reveal it with 2% caustical soda in hot water and I etched it with peroxyde hydrogen + chlorydric acid.
Etching takes 30 seconds with this solution. Don't forget the gloves, glasses and open the window.

      • The new firmware. Selectable buildup TX, sinus or meander (Meander allows you to get more current for the same settings, respectively big depth of detection) mode "Power" button, "0", "the Sin", "Meander" Other minor improvements .

        • The LCD module's negative contrast supply is made with the diode switching charge pump, in the schematic already. If you want to see how it works, google charge pump.

The logic voltage is 3.3V so don't add any extra 5V supplies. Follow the schematic

            • Thanks, it was so evident that i did not see it. My board is ready and i put those diodes already. I should have noticed that.

                  • Hi,
Could somebody confirm the AVR model for this project ?
I bought 3 pieces of ATXMEGA32D4 chip and my unit does not seem to work.
When i turn it on, i have black screen (means the charge pump works) and no sound.
If it does not work with those chips, could someone explain me the difference between the two models ?
I want to make it working before building the coils ...
                    Regards

I dont know if the atxmega32D4 chips will work. I heard that there was one version of the chip that did'nt work. I used the ATXMEGA32A4AU chips that I know will work.Try to get the correct part because unsoldering and replacing these chips is difficult unless you are skilled.

                        • Thanks a lot. I bought the bad parts...
                          Too bad for me.
The good thing is that i have more skills unsoldering chips than exploring the forum...

                              • Read the thread and you will find it. It is recomended to use double sided pcb with the one side to be "ground".
